- What is New Student Orientation (NSO)?
New Student Orientation (NSO) is designed to help you successfully begin your journey at Atlanta Metropolitan State College (AMSC). During orientation, you will connect with other students, meet faculty and staff, and gain the knowledge and tools needed to start strong.
- When is New Student Orientation offered?
NSO sessions are typically held the semester before you enroll:
Spring Start: November – January
Summer Start: April – May
Fall Start: July – Aug
- When should I register for NSO?
We recommend registering for a session before your first semester starts and as early as possible to secure your preferred session date.
- Will I register for classes during NSO?
Yes. You will register for your first semester of classes during your orientation session.
- Is NSO mandatory?
Yes. NSO is required for all new first-year and transfer students.
